Leave it Behind

There is a time for goodbye.

When your body is craving, what your soul hates

When your emotions go haywire, while your flesh is pleased

When the person you were at your best is something you vaguely remember,

It’s time to let that go and become a better you.

I have been at my worst and at times my best from the decisions I have made.

My worst because I was in no remorse of my sins, My best because I learned from my mistakes and made them more than just regret.

He makes all things work for the good of those who love Him…

That has been my favorite verse for a while. It’s easy to believe when you are seeking righteousness, but what about when you are knowingly doing wrong?

We have to let go of those things that keep us down. We have to know that the reasons we are telling ourselves we need it is all a lie. It’s all a lie.

I sit and think about the reasons I hold on to the things that I need to let go off and it all sounds like stupidity when I am in sober judgment.

Even at our ugliest God can make all things work for the good of those who love Him, and that is so gracious to me.

The torment of my past can turn into sweet release on a page or whatever else I use to transfer the energy.

Let’s learn from our mistakes, but also let go of the things that keep causing us to make them.
